The Ötztaler Alps represent the largest glacial area in the Eastern Alps. We will spend a week here, and enjoying huge runs of up to 2000 vertical meters with a maximum of 1 - 3 hours ascent.
The terrain is high alpine, the views are breathtaking, the mountains from 3000 to almost 4000 meters high and easy reachable with the lifts of the ski areas from sölden, obergurgl , hochgurgl and the glacier areas of the Ötztal and Pitztal.

Meet at 9:00 am, introduce program, sign waivers, check gear then head for local ski area. Check out local conditions, do some warm up runs and hike up to a 3000 m high peak around the ski area from Sölden.
Tue:
Short ascents and spectacular runs around the Gaislachkogel (3048 m). Afterwards we climb the peak Schwarzkogel und ski all the way down threw the Pollestal to Huben. A awsome valley with great views.
Ascents: approx. 20-30 min. Descents: approx. 6000 hm
Wed:
2 valley classic (Ötztal - Pitztal) From the glacier in sölden we do a great run to the pitztal valley. Than we take the glacier express to reach the glacier area of the pitztal, do another run all the way down to the pitztal.
Explore the ski area from Obergurgl and Hochgurgl. Beautiful views and great runs in this ski area on the end of the ötztal.
Fr:
Tour to the peak Wildspitze 3774 m, the highest peak in Tirol. The final of the week is the spectacular 2000 m descent in between this great and wild glacier area.

Gear and clothing
You need to bring:
Skis / Snow Board (split board or snowboard plus access system: snow shoes)
Climbing skins 'Stick-on type' (for skis or split board)
Ski Poles
Touring ski boot / snowboard boots
Daypack
large enough for spare clothes, lunch & equipment (approx. 40 l)
Sunglasses and ski goggles
Thermos flask and/or water bottle
Sun cream
Climbing harness: If you don't have this gear already we can loan it to you.
Clothing List
We suggest bringing light clothing of varying thicknesses that can be 'layered' to achieve comfort and versatility. The most important consideration for clothing is the ability to regulate temperature as you change from periods of activity to periods of rest. We discourage cotton clothing as it causes rapid heat loss when wet.

Booking
Please book as early as practical to avoid disappointment. We should receive your booking at the latest 3 weeks before the trip begins. We require a 50% deposit with your booking. Full payment is required 2 weeks in advance.
