This group consists of skiers who can make parallel turns with confidence on Blues and Reds. When they attempt Black runs or steeper gradients they lose their technique and the body weight drops back. Skiers in this group can generally get down moguls, steeps and freeride terrain but with a weak or/and confidence lacking technique.
WHAT HAPPENS ON AN FREERIDE CENTER LEVEL 2 COURSE...
On the course you will cover several of the following topics:
EQUIPMENT CHECK. A full equipment check will be carried out to make sure your skis, boots and bindings are set up to give you a 100% safe and effective ride. You will also gain a better understanding of your kit
SKI PHYSIOLOGY Before skiing each day you will complete an aerobic warm up routine.
VIDEO ANALYSIS your skiing will be videoed. After skiing your videoed runs are analysed to give you specific feedback to then work on and change for the next day on the mountain
DEVELOPING DYNAMICS To ensure a positive result when trying out new movement ranges, the team will help you to gain valuable muscle memory using static and dynamic exercises in positions needed for good skiing
SKIING STEEPS Preparation for steep terrain skiing takes place throughout the course. Steep slopes are introduced at a progressive rate. More advanced skiers are tested in steep, narrow couloirs and steeper off piste areas
OFF PISTE + POWDER We learn to ski powder and off piste terrain with skill and confidence. Our courses are famous for achieving this with performance freeride skills
LIKEMINDED SKIERS The Freeride Center courses are a great way to meet likeminded people who have the same common goal of improving their skiing. Many people keep in touch after the course and meet on other holidays or courses
